First Party Video

NewsTeam includes a built-in video pipeline so you can upload once, transcode automatically, and reuse video wherever you need it. Videos are handled as first-class assets, with flows that work both inside story creation and directly at the Bucket level.

  • Upload directly or while building Editors can upload video directly into a Bucket or add it while building an article, then reuse it later without uploading it again.

  • Automatic Transcoding Uploaded videos are transcoded into multiple bitrates for smooth playback on different devices and networks.

  • Player Agnostic Delivery NewsTeam prepares the transcoded manifests, files, and metadata your products need, but does not prescribe a single player. You can use the playback approach that best fits your site, app, or commercial requirements.

  • Saved in the Bucket When uploaded, videos are stored in the bucket, where they become searchable, editable, and reusable across future stories and products.

  • Editable metadata Titles, thumbnails, credits, keywords, mentions, and reuse settings can be managed directly in the desk.

  • Wide format support – Upload common formats and resolutions.
  • Secure storage – All videos are stored in NewsTeam’s cloud DAM.
  • Reusable assets – Once uploaded, a video can be inserted into any article without re-uploading.
  • Metadata & search – Videos are indexed with titles, thumbnails, and other metadata so they can be easily found later.
  • Flexible playback & monetization – Choose the player that fits your product, including setups that need first-party advertising, custom analytics, or other playback-specific requirements.
  • Global delivery – Videos are streamed via CDN for reliable performance worldwide.
